Another Step Towards Integrating Our Academic School into the Global Scientific Community!

The Faculty of Sociology and Law at KPI continues to strengthen international academic ties, engaging in global scientific discussions about the future of the world. We are delighted to share an exciting announcement: our joint monograph with colleagues from the University of Tokyo “The Impacts of the Russo-Ukrainian War: Theoretical and Practical Explorations of Policy Agendas for Peace in Ukraine” has now been published by Springer!

Symbolically, its presentation took place today, on the first day of spring, at 9:00 Kyiv time and 16:00 Tokyo time.

This work explores scenarios of the large-scale war unfolding in Europe in the 21st century and the key factors shaping its course. Authors of the Monograph:

Pavlo Fedorchenko-Kutuev – Doctor of Sociology, Professor, Head of the Department of Sociology at the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”. His research interests focus on modernization, development, and social transformations.

Iurii Perga – PhD in History, Associate Professor at the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”. His research covers history, national minorities, European studies, artificial intelligence, and public administration.

Hideaki Shinoda – Professor at the University of Tokyo, an expert in international law, peacebuilding, and post-conflict recovery.

Tomonori Yoshizaki – Japanese researcher specializing in international security, military strategy, and defense policy.

Olena Akimova – PhD in Philosophy, Associate Professor, researcher in public administration, digital technologies, and sustainable development. She studies the transformation of democracy in the digital society and the challenges of governance and digitalization during war and post-conflict recovery.

Anna Ishchenko – Professional sociologist and researcher in inclusivity, working on social policy, international relations, and the global order.

Hinako Yasui – Japanese researcher specializing in peace studies, international conflicts, and post-crisis recovery processes.

💡 This monograph is the result of a unique international collaboration, combining the academic expertise of Ukraine and Japan to examine war scenarios, influencing factors, and possible pathways to peace.
